The President of Turkmenistan approved the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025 at the extended session of the Government on February 1. It was mentioned in this regard, that the model of the development of national economy in next seven years proposed by the Government includes number of strategic directions.

By the outcomes of 2018, the growth rate of the GDP was 6.2 percent. Production export volumes to foreign countries exceeded 11,200,000,000 US dollars.

Meetings on the key directions of activity in near future were held in Türkmendeňizderýaýollary» and «Türkmensenagat» agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Communication.

Ceremony of construction launch of Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway was held. As it was informed at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 11, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, having authorised Türkmen Awtoban CJSV, the member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, to make project design and construction of Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway and its facilities.

Vice-premier E. Orazgeldiyev presented the proposals prepared by the State Commissions of the velayats and Ashgabat to the Head of the State for review at the session of the Government on January 23.
