Taking into consideration the great contribution to strengthening Turkmenistan’s independence, development of the national traditions and customs, consolidating the unity and solidarity of the native people, education of the younger generation, and for an exemplary life example, as well as on the occasion of 26th anniversary of the great independence of neutral Turkmenistan, the President of Turkmenistan issued the Decree on conferring the title “People’s Honorable Elder” on the following citizens of the country:

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the list of holidays and memorial dates, celebrated in Turkmenistan without time off (if they fall on working days) is approved:

With the aim to continue the development of free market relations in the economy of Turkmenistan as well as to regulate prices for gas, electricity, housing and communal, transport and communications services for all users, the President of Turkmenistan has signed a decree, which establishes the following charges for natural gas (inclusive of VAT) as from November 1, 2017:

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov signed a number of Decrees on the representation of Turkmenistan in international organizations.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that modern Turkmenistan is one of a number of indicators in a number of developed countries, summing up the results of the past meeting of the Council of Elders.

The participants of the Council of Elders of Turkmenistan accepted an Appeal to the people of the country following the results of the October 9-10 meeting.

During the Elders’ Council, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Law on introduction of amendments and additions to the Land Code, which was adopted by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

It has become a good tradition in Turkmenistan to give a name to each year. Following this tradition, as well as given numerous requests and wishes of the citizens, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, according to which the year of 2018 will be held in the country under the motto: “Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road”.

President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution of Convocation of the first session of the National Council of Turkmenistan (Halk Maslahaty) in 2018.

Award ceremony and conferment of the titles to the citizens of our country who were highly appreciated for honest and exemplary work as well as on occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan took place at the session of the Council of the Elders.
