The participants of the Council of Elders of Turkmenistan accepted an Appeal to the people of the country following the results of the October 9-10 meeting. At closing speech at the forum, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again emphasized that our main goal is to ensure the further prosperity of the sovereign Fatherland, worthy of the future of the people. Guided by such goals, we held the Council of Elders of Turkmenistan, at which we discussed important issues for the country and people. The goals are defined. The higher tasks are set before the Turkmen society to ensure further development of the independent Motherland, for the solution of which we will continue the work carried out on a program basis, the head of state noted. Having clearly defined the goals for the development of an independent neutral state in the socio-economic, political, legal and cultural terms, we implement new programs aimed at the withdrawal of Turkmenistan to a number of the most developed countries of the world. The Presidential Program on Socio-Economic Development of the country adopted in the current Council in 2018-2024 will also contribute to the achievement of these goals.
