Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system, which was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the hyakims of the velayats.

Today, as part of the visit of the Afghan delegation headed by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi, which arrived in the Turkmen capital the day before, a meeting was held where the heads of foreign policy departments of the neighboring countries exchanged views on priority areas on the bilateral agenda, in particular, in the field of political, diplomatic, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, in which priority issues of state life as well as drafts of a number of documents were considered.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Balkan velayat, where he visited Uzynada field and held a meeting dedicated to further development of the oil and gas industry, as well as development and implementation of the richest resource potential of the country.

Today, the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held an expanded session of the State Security Council to sum up the activities of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies for 2021 and determine priority tasks for the power structures for the near future.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Turkmenistan Ms. Lucia Wilde, who handed the head of the state her credentials.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the first working meeting via the digital system in the new year, 2022, held under the motto “The Epoch of the People with Arkadag”, which was attended by some Cabinet Deputy Chairmen, the Minister of Education, as well as the khyakims of the velayats and the capital.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan in connection with the numerous human casualties and injuries as a result of the tragic events of recent days.

The Turkmen delegation made a working trip to the city of Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, on January 8-9, where they held meetings with a view to further developing bilateral relations following the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
