The first session of the first convocation of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan was held in the capital. Its agenda included the laws adopted at the 14th session of the Sixth convocation of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan on May 22nd for approval by the members of the Halk Maslahaty.

On June 2nd, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chaired the regular session of the State Security Council, during which the results of activities of law enforcement agencies for five months of this year were considered, the priority vectors of their activities for the near future were identified.

The Speaker and representatives of the Mejlis of the Milli Geňeş of Turkmenistan took part in the second plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Economic Co-operation in Islamabad and meetings held as part of it via a direct video link. The purpose of the meeting was to analyze the implementation progress of sustainable development goals in the region amid the COVID-19 pandemic and to discuss the future cooperation in this area.
On June 1st, esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in a solemn event dedicated to the International Day for the Protection of Children at the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health in the center of the capital city. First of all, the Turkmen leader, together with head of the United Nations Children’s Fund's representative office in Turkmenistan Christine Weigand, took interest in the work of the children's development and early rehabilitation department of the center.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the young generation of Turkmen citizens and all compatriots on the International Children's Day.
