President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has extended his deep condolences to President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo following the devastating tsunami that hit coastal areas along the Sunda Strait and claimed many lives, caused injuries and massive destruction.

Foreign policy of our country is based on the status of permanent neutrality, which was recognized twice by the Resolutions of the UN General Assembly on December 12, 1995 and June 3, 2015.

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted the Resolution on declaration of 2019 as the year “Turkmenistan – the Home of Prosperity”. The document mentions that it became goo tradition to give name to the year, which forms up its most important events. It supports the enhancement of patriotism and intent of every individual to be involved and contribute to noble affairs, beginnings and achievements in the country.

Today, our independent neutral state is one of the countries that provides stability and security in the region, Turkmenistan is known in the world as competent state with dynamic economy, which is attractive for the investments, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said speaking at the session of the Government with the participation of the representative diplomatic corps of the country.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held extended New Year session of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of the representative of national diplomatic corps. Number of important subjects of home and foreign policy of the country has been reviewed at the session where representatives of the Mejlis, heads of diplomatic and consulate missions of our country accredited in foreign states, hyakims of the velayats as well as directors of universities, editors on newspapers, leaders of public organizations were invited.

By the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Jumayev, Shohrat Durdygulyyevich, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the French Republic. He was therefore dismissed from previously held posts of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Romania and to the Republic of Croatia.

By the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Annayev, Annamammet Akmammedovich, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Romania.

By the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ayazov, Muhammetgeldi Nurberdiyevich, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia.

By the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Durdyyev, Parahat Hommadovich, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People’s Republic of China. He was therefore dismissed from the previously held posts of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of India, to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

By the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Amanmyradov, Nurberdi, was relieved of his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Ukraine, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Moldova due to transfer to another office.
