Celebrating the Harvest Festival on the government level as a major holiday has a deeper meaning. This festival reflects the pride that the people of our country take in the success achieved through selfless labor of farmers. The Harvest Festival symbolizes the tribute to tenants as the government’s recognition of their creative efforts, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov states in his congratulatory Address to rural workers and all compatriots.

On behalf of the people and the Government as well as personally, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor and to friendly Slovenian people on occasion of the25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers where outcomes of activity of the branches of national economy for ten months of 2018 have been summed up. Relevant reports have been presented and assessment of completed work has been made during the session where the members of the State Security Council, hyakims of Ashgabat and velayats were invited.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Delegation of Turkmenistan led by Vice-premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov paid working visit to Afghanistan. In Kabul, the delegation of our country was received by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani who confirmed invariable commitment of Afghanistan to traditional interstate dialog.

To promote further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution approving the membership of the Turkmenistan–Egypt Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation from the Turkmen side.

To ensure further support provided by Turkmenistan to achieve peace, stability and security in Afghanistan; to provide humanitarian assistance to the brotherly people of Afghanistan; the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution authorizing the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (Mazar-i-Sharif) to conclude a contract with Afghanistan’s Ghazanfar Construction, Road Work Rail Way Construction Material P.CO for the construction of a mosque to serve 500 people in the village of Aqina, district of Andkhoy, province of Faryab of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), Tamás Aján.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the State Cultural Centre where he inspected the development of library system and expansion of the main methodology centre of this sphere – the State Library of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of the Turkish Republic, Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
