President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which considered drafts of several documents and discussed topical issues of state life.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, extended congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, upon the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

At the meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Turkmenistan was elected to the Executive Board of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Commission on the Status of Women for 2018-2022.

On the 21st of April the conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan was held at International university for the Humanities and development. Guests of the conference were delegation of Japan Foundation (JF) . The President of JF Mr. Hiroyasu Ando, gave speech about future goals of Foundation and cultural promotion between Japan and Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov flew around the capital, getting acquainted with the state of affairs at a number of major construction sites, the progress of further improvement of the city, and the improvement of the capital's road and transport infrastructure from aboard the helicopter.

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan in the format of traditional inter-parliamentary dialogue hosted a meeting with a delegation of deputies of the European Union countries headed by the European Parliament Vice President Mr. Ryszard Czarnecki, arrived in the country on a working visit.

During the state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the exposition of the National Museum in Astana. The complex of the National Museum of Kazakhstan includes 11 rooms with a total exhibition area of more than 14 thousand square meters.

As part of the state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov laid flowers at the Monument to defenders of the Fatherland in Astana, paying tribute to the memory of the national heroes of Kazakhstan.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan gave an official dinner in honour of distinguished Turkmen guest at the Akorda Palace. The leaders of the two states exchanged speeches at the official reception.
