Today, an impressive ceremony has been held in front of the Palace of Children and Youth to open a winter holiday season for school-aged children, who then left for one of the most beautiful and scenic places in Turkmenistan, Geokdere, which is home to ten-plus modern health centers.

Turkmenistan citizens met New Year 2018 with big celebrations, having met its arrival as one large family. We saw off the year of 2017 with the gratitude, the Year of Health and Inspiration that brought many bright unforgettable moments including those related with the success of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

2017, the Year of Health and Inspiration that was filled with remarkable events is coming to the end. Saying goodbye to 2017, the year of successes and big achievements, we welcome the year of 2018 with big hopes and good wishes, - congratulation message of the Head of the State says. According to Chinese calendar 2018 is the year of dog, which has always been faithful friend, home and pet defender of Turkmen people. Our people say - The happiness is where the dog found the shelter.

The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan carried out the charity act in honour of the New Year.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov consistently calls on elected officials – members of the National Parliament – to actively engage with voters in different constituencies, stay aware of their needs, day-to-day concerns and problems to be able help them tackle these issues, promote improvement of social and living conditions, actively involve them into public affairs, enhance their legal and political culture.

The opening ceremony of a newly-built facility has turned into a great and joyous celebration with music, songs, a beautifully decorated New Year’s tree standing in front of it, and Ayazbaba (Grandfather Frost) and Garpamyk (Snow Maiden), wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Performing groups gave a big concert to mark the occasion. Among those attending the event were multiple residents of the settlement and guests – representatives of velayat and etrap khyakimliks, public organizations, elders, and health care workers. The best builders received valuable gifts at the opening ceremony.

Early in the morning, the aircraft of Turkmenistan Airlines OJSC Boeing 737 – 800 that made first flight Ashgabat – Frankfurt – Erevan Ashgabat landed in International Airport of Turkmen capital.

Ceremonial opening of specialized medical complex for prevention of diseases built under the realization of National programme on transformation of social and living conditions of villages, settlements and towns until 2020 was held in Dushak Settlement of Kaahka etrap.

The conference hall of the Palace of Justice hold scientific and practical conference “Development of the Statehood, Legal System and Democracy in Neutral Turkmenistan” timed to the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the Institute of State and Law under the President of Turkmenistan.

By an existing good tradition, in anticipation of the incoming New Year, there was a festive event in “Döwletliler köşgi” (in the Orphan Palace), where foster-children were presented gifts on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
