Land Fund to be established in Turkmenistan

Speaking during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Agriculture E.Orazgeldiev reported that Turkmenistan worked on the establishment of the special land fund to transfer land plots to the citizens of the country for private ownership. As was reported, the land will be provided to the Turkmen citizens for subsidiary farming in rural areas and construction of apartment houses in towns and villages. The Vice-Premier noted that the fund will be established in accordance with the Programme of Socio-Economic Development of the country for 2018-2024, as well as the National Programme of the President of Turkmenistan on the improvement of the social and living conditions in villages, etrap cities and centres till 2020 in the new edition. Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed E. Orazgeldiev to thoroughly study the land fund establishment issues, as well as to keep the implementation of the programmes on the social and economic development of regions under rigorous control. According to the Turkmen leader, the transfer of land plots to the citizens of cities and villages for private ownership will contribute to improving their living conditions and promoting welfare.
