The Ministry of Industry takes measures for development of calcite production. It was informed to the Head of the State by Vice-premier M. Chakiyev at the session of the Government on January 18. It was informed that experimental works have been carried out, which resulted in production of high quality material, the calcite. The production of this material will allow Turkmen constructors rejecting foreign analogues and to produce different types of paint, gypsum boards and other non-ore construction materials in the future. In this regard, the proposal on establishment of the facility for production of 500 tons of calcite per year in Magdanly, Lebap Velayat has been presented for review to the Head of the State. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan noted that strategic objectives for creation of innovative processing facilities, increment of volumes and variety of construction materials made from local resources, training of qualified specialists for the branch and attraction of the investment have been set for the industrial sector and addressed the Vice-premier with number of assignments on this account.
