Talks between profile ministries and departments of two countries in energy sphere, oil and gas, chemical industry, agriculture, tourism and other spheres were held in the second day of Turkmen – Bahrein business forum. Minister of Power Energy and Water Resources of the Kingdom of Bahrein Hussein Bin Ali Mirza with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for construction, energy and municipality service and the Minister of Power Energy of our country discussed the subjects of cooperation in energy sphere at the meeting. The guest has also discussed positive practice of Turkmenistan in implementation of large-scale projects in the sphere of soil improvement, combating desertification and salinization of lands with profile members of the Government of our country. The Minister of Power Energy and Water Resources of the Kingdom of Bahrein was presented with the outcomes of work for creation of Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake in the centre of Karakum Deserts, which construction is aimed at the solution of the problem of disposal of drainage waters and development of lands around unique water facility. Interesting discussion of directions of cooperation in energy sector and petrochemical industry was held at the meeting of Minister of Oil of the Kingdom of Bahrein Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa with the officials of fuel and energy complex of the country. At the meeting with representatives of Gulf Petrochemical Industries company, the Chairmen of the State Concerns «Türkmengaz», «Türkmennebit» and «Türkmenhimiýa» discussed the perspective of the partnership under the Memorandum of Understanding in gas and petrochemical branches signed in Ashgabat on March 16. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for transport and communication and the Ministers of Industry and Communication of Turkmenistan presented modern achievements of Turkmen industry as well as discussed the aspects of the partnership in promotion of Turkmen production in foreign markets and improvement of competiveness of industrial complex of the country at the conversation with Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Kingdom of Bahrein Zayed Bin Rashid Al Zayani. Interesting exchange of visions on the subjects of economic partnership was held at the meeting of Zayed Bin Rashid Al Zayani with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Trade and the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan. The presence of favourable conditions for steadfast intensification of cooperation, stimulation of investment activity, productive contacts between business structures has been stated. Tourism, which development has been discussed by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Kingdom of Bahrein and the Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism. The guest expressed the willingness to share their practice in the sphere of sea tourism wit Turkmen colleagues. In their turn, Turkmen side introduced the capabilities of Avaza National tourist zone. The main focus was made on the perspectives of export of national production to the markets of Bahrein at the meeting of the Heads of Trade and Industrial Chambers of the State of Bahrein and Turkmenistan. By the way, achievements of non-governmental sector of the economy of the country and production made by private companies were demonstrated at specialized review, where the members of delegation of the State of Bahrein have been invited. The meeting of Executive Director of Bahrein Development Association with the Minister of Finances and Economy of Turkmenistan was also held. Positive practice of both countries in the implementation of international agreements has been discussed and subjects of strengthening of economic cooperation with the focus on investment component have been reviewed at the meeting. Talks on the expansion of activity of Bahrein financial structures in Turkmenistan were held between representatives of Salam Bank of the Kingdom of Bahrein and the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs. Opportunities of the implementation of major infrastructural projects have been discussed at the meeting between the managers of Kalaam Telecommunication Company of the Kingdom of Bahrein and Türkmenaragatnaşyk Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Communication. Therefore, good will and mutual interest serve as a platform for diversification of Turkmen – Bahrein cooperation in the context of Middle East vector of the State policy.
