According to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan dated March 2, 2021:

• foreign citizens holding UN passports are allowed to come to Turkmenistan, stay in the country, leave it, and cross the territory of Turkmenistan in transit without visa for the period of up to 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date of arrival in Turkmenistan;

• foreign citizens – officers of the UN or its specialized structures accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as their family members, are exempted from obtaining visa during the period of work in Turkmenistan.

According to the document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should notify the United Nations about the above.

The document also instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Migration Service, other relevant ministries and departments, together with the Ministry of Justice, to prepare relevant proposals on amendments to the legislation and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers within a month.
