National Program for Turning Turkmenistan into a Tobacco-Free Country for 2022-2025 was approved

In order to implement effective measures in the period “Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State” to popularize and widely establish healthy lifestyle standards among the population, combat tobacco, further improve the health of citizens and increase people’s life expectancy, turn Turkmenistan into a tobacco-free country by 2025, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree, approving the National Program for Turning Turkmenistan into a Tobacco-Free Country for 2022-2025, the Action Plan for its implementation, as well as members of the established Interdepartmental Coordination Commission for the implementation of this National Program.

The document instructs the ministries, sectoral departments, khyakimliks of velayats and the city of Ashgabat to ensure the implementation of the above National Program.
