Management of financial markets recognized as subject to licensing

In order to further develop the securities market in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, as well as in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan “On licensing certain types of activities”, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution according to which the management of financial markets (activities of stock exchanges only) is recognized as subject to licensing, for the issuance of a license for this small type of activity is assigned a state fee in the appropriate amount.

Licensing of the management of financial markets (activities of stock exchanges only) is prescribed to be carried out by the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The document also instructs the Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the Ministry of Adalat, to prepare and submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers on introducing amendments and additions to the legislation of Turkmenistan arising from this Resolution within a month.
