In order to further improve the theatrical activity in independent neutral Turkmenistan in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, to promote the creative potential of theaters, as well as in accordance with the procedure and conditions for assigning theaters the legal status of “National” or “Academic”, approved by Resolution № 2586 of the President of Turkmenistan dated February 3, 2022, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution according to which the Main Drama Theater of Turkmenistan named after the Great Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy was given the legal status of “Academic”.
