In order to further strengthen friendly ties and good-neighborly relations between peoples, as well as to promote physical culture and sports, to actively promote the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society, to widely attract the younger generation to sports, to increase the international sports authority of the country, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution, allowing the Ministry of Sports and youth policy, together with the International SAMBO Federation, to hold the World SAMBO Championships in the martial arts sports complex of the Olympic village in Ashgabat in November 2025.

According to the document:

– the Organizing Committee for the holding of World SAMBO Championships was created and its composition was approved;

– The Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy was instructed, in coordination with the International SAMBO Federation, to develop and approve the Regulations on holding the World SAMBO Championships;

- The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy were instructed to ensure the involvement of students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan as volunteers to provide translation services to foreign participants in the Championship;

- The Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy was ordered to organize training sessions for athletes of the national team of Turkmenistan, as well as athletes of foreign countries who will take part in the Championship, in the martial arts sports complex of the Olympic village of Ashgabat and at its other sports facilities.
