Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, and hyakims of the velayats to consider the state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex, as well as the progress of seasonal field work in the regions of the country.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the measures taken to speed up the cotton harvest pace, gather cotton crop without losses, as well as maintain the uninterrupted operation of cotton gins and reception points, combines, etc.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the cotton harvest in agriculture and focused on accelerating its pace, as well as on the implementation of the necessary measures for the successful achievement of the goals set. It is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of cotton ginning enterprises, reception points, combines and other machinery.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atakhallyev reported on the measures taken to accelerate the progress of the cotton harvest campaign, gather cotton crop within the optimal timeframe and without losses, as well as the progress of other seasonal works.

The hyakim also reported that work is underway in the western region to care for plantations of winter potatoes, vegetables, melons, watermelons and other agricultural crops, as well as on efforts being made to collect the grown crop in a timely manner. At the same time, sugar beet fields are treated in compliance with agro-technical rules.

Stressing that the production of plentiful harvests of winter potatoes, fruits, vegetables and other agricultural crops is of great importance for strengthening the food abundance in the country, the head of state instructed to take all measures for their timely harvesting.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued by the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the progress of seasonal field work in the northern region, the cotton harvest pace, in which ginning enterprises, reception points, combines and other machinery are operated at full capacity and uninterruptedly.

The khyakim informed that the full use of agricultural machinery is made in order to complete the winter wheat sowing at the proper level and on time. The even germination of seedlings have already been provided in the fields sown to grain.

The harvest campaign is under way in the rice plantations of the northern region to complete it within the shortest possible time and without losses.

Having heard the report, the head of state highlighted the importance of developing the agro-industrial complex in ensuring food abundance in the country, focusing on speeding up the pace of wheat sowing to complete it on schedule, and gave the Khyakim a number of instructions.

Then Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiev reported on the course of the cotton harvesting campaign, the uninterrupted operation of ginneries, reception points, combines and other machinery.

Along with this, wheat sowing is in progress in accordance with agro-technical standards, all agricultural machines used in the campaign are operated without failures, and irrigation work in the fields where seedlings have already germinated is carried out in a timely manner.

The report also covered the agricultural activities ongoing in order to gather plentiful harvests of winter potatoes, vegetables, melons and other crops, as well as organized harvesting of rice.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to take all measures to collect generous harvests of winter potatoes, vegetables and other crops, as well as to conduct rice harvesting in an organized manner.

Then Mary Velayat Khyakim D. Annaberdiev reported on the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, the necessary work is underway to accelerate the pace of the cotton harvest, and efforts are made to gather cotton crop in optimal time and without losses, as well as ensure the uninterrupted operation of cotton gins, reception points, combines and other machinery.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the agricultural sector in development of the national economic complex of the country, having pointed out in this regard that it is necessary to harvest cotton in a timely manner and without losses, maintain high wheat sowing pace, and complete these campaigns within the established agro-technical timeframe.

The President of Turkmenistan also instructed to keep control over the work to treat sugar beet fields in the velayat.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov reported on the comprehensive measures taken following the instructions of the head of state to develop the country’s agriculture, rational use of land and water resources, and enhance soil fertility.

As was reported, wheat sowing is under way at a high pace throughout the country, and agricultural machinery is operated at full capacity. Along with this, coordinated work is in progress to apply mineral fertilizers into soil and carry out vegetative irrigation of seedlings.

The cotton harvest is well under way in the regions of the country. In addition, comprehensive work is in progress to supply domestic markets with vegetables, melons, fruits and other foodstuffs of domestic production. Winter potatoes, vegetables and other crops are cared for, and measures are taken to harvest the grown crop without loss.

The reported included information that, on the instructions of the President of the country, the necessary measures are taken to improve the water supply of farmlands.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov specified that the work carried out in the branches of the country’s agro-industrial complex must meet the requirements of the time. Great importance must be attached to ensuring food abundance, caring for crops in the fields in compliance with agro-technical requirements.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep under constant control issues related to accelerating the pace of cotton harvesting and wheat sowing, ensuring the coordinated work of the relevant institutions, as well as actively introducing the achievements of modern science and innovative methods into production.

The head of state addressed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the hyakims of the velayats, giving specific instructions on the proper conduct of seasonal agricultural campaigns and an integrated approach to the successful implementation of the upcoming objectives.

The working meeting participants expressed, on behalf of farmers and agrarians of the country, gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for signing the Decree on September 23, according to which, starting from the 2022 harvest, 50 percent of bran, cake, cake, pulp and beet presscake generated from processing grain, cotton and sugar beet received on the basis of the state order from tenants, users and owners of land, will be sold to producers at the state-regulated prices.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, the head of state wished the participants sound health and great success in their work for the prosperity of the Homeland and the happy life of the people.
