President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which was held at the Congress Centre of Astana.

The agenda of the current Summit covers vital issues affecting all areas of integration in the CIS space, the adoption of appropriate decisions on which will ensure the improvement of interaction mechanisms within its framework.

The economy was named among the key aspects of interaction. In this context, information was provided on the preparation for signing a draft agreement on free trade in services.

Organizational issues were also considered.

The CIS Executive Committee was asked to analyze the important initiatives voiced at the Summit aimed at improving cooperation within the CIS and to develop specific measures for their practical implementation.

The Summit adopted a number of decisions aimed at building up cooperation in various areas of interaction.

The results of the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States were commented on in an appeal to the press.
