In connection with institution of a special legal status for Arkadag city -the city of state significance in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan “On Arkadag city” as well as with a view of improvement of the activity of the Main Archive Department under the Cabinet of Ministers, the President of Turkmenistan has signed the Resolution to establish the National Archives of Arkadag city under the Main Archive Department of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The document commissions the Main Archive Department of the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare jointly with the Ministry of Adalat proposals on introduction of amendments and additions proceeding from the given Resolution to legislation of Turkmenistan and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers within a monthly period.
