Today, the country has widely marked the national holiday of the Turkmen horse, in honour of which main festivities were organized in the International Akhal-Teke equestrian sports complex with participation of President Serdar Berdymuhamedov.

It is necessary to note that during the new historical epoch "heavenly" horses have become a live embodiment of indissoluble link between times and continuity of generations, a bright creative talent of the Turkmen people, who have brought a weighty contribution to the cultural treasury of human civilisation.

Among those who participated in the event were the Chairperson of the Mejlis, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet, heads and representatives of ministries and departments, diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited to Turkmenistan and also mass media.

With a great enthusiasm, the gathered welcomed the head of Turkmenistan. Having congratulated all on a remarkable holiday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov passes to the complex territory where a small florid settlement of handicraftsmen and skilled workers stretches.

Actors welcome the head of the state with their songs of "paradise" racers. Nearby the arts and crafts exhibition was developed, elegant yurts “ak öý” were set up, on trestle beds covered with bright carpets craftsmen and needlewomen display their works, bakhshi-musicians sing national songs and play melodies.

The territory of the complex, being not only a venue of races, but also the centre of popularisation and development of this favourite sport of our people, attracts the attention with a bright variety of celebratory colours.

The ethnographic expositions representing all regions of the country and the capital, expressively display the artistic specificity of local creative schools. So, in the pavilion of the city of Ashgabat it is possible to see samples of potter's art and tapestry, figured horse body cloths, jewels, and also to listen to the melodies performed on national musical instruments.

At the platform of the Akhal velayat the workshop of jeweller, which creates the works before the eyes of spectators is dramatized. Horse equipment also draws the attention. Representatives of Balkan velayat have ornaments for camel, painted pumpkins-gourds. Here, one can also see production of skilful hand-made articles from tree to singing of gazals.

In the pavilion of Dashoguz velayat the exhibition of national musical instruments, products from leather was developed. The manufacturing process of the dutar by the master is displayed. Dessan singers attach the musical colouring to the atmosphere. The exposition of Lebap velayat showed traditional instruments of labour and various kilims. Work of skilled workers is accompanied by ancient tunes.

Mary velayat prepared samples of silk and textile products, household utensils. Women to the melodies of tuyduk and dutar are engaged in weaving.

Great interest is evoked by works of sculptors, masters of carpet marking art, artists and other creative figures who gained a victory in the competition, held in honour of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse.

Here one can also see works created by the youth, who get education in corresponding areas and gain experience from masters-instructors. All this speaks of the fact that at the state level necessary possibilities for discovery of creative abilities of the younger generation are created.

Sports competitions, especially duels in the goresh, organized in the complex’s territory, added to a festive colour to the event. Competitions of palvans, winners of which received corresponding awards caused a big delight.

Having attended colourful expositions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the main building. There the head of the state was welcomed by variety soloists and dancing ensembles. Performances of actors augmented the atmosphere of the big and generous Turkmen toy, which invited a great number of visitors.

It is remarkable that today the horse has become an embodiment of that energy from which our country reaches enormous successes in the development. Having created such product of the highest art of national selectors and seyis as Akhal Teke horse, having kept thoroughbredness of these invaluable horses, national horse breeders do not cease to foster their better qualities. Thus, the basic difference of national school of preparation of sports horses is that Turkmens do not train them, but bring them up.

Having perceived the national love to racers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has brought care of preservation, augmentation and popularisation of the Akhal teke breeds, continuity of traditions and enrichment by modern technologies of the profile sphere to the level of state policy.

The horse is first of all an embodiment of huge work of horse breeders. First of all, this creation of nature will admire all with beauty, stamina, playfulness and it requires huge force, knowledge, talent and love. Turkmen people can work in full faith and the Akhal teke horse can serve the best visual example for it and solemnly celebrate holidays.

In honour of the national favourite - horse - the country arranges a big traditional toy, an integral attribute of which is races from time immemorial. .

The leader of the state announces the start of celebratory races - the most prestigious competitions of the season. The starting signal sounds and thin feet zealous racers, having jerked from place, quickly speed up, riveting attention of spectator in the stands.

From century to century, from generation to generation a glorious tradition of careful attitude to live property of the nation was transferred and now, during the epoch of digital technologies, it is important, that the youth should maintain and develop it. The head of the state sets an inspiring example for it, bringing a big contribution to popularisation of Akhal Teke breed of horses and development of horse-breeding branch.

During the Era of Rival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, races are still one of the favourite sports. Present competitions, which spectators from their stands, TV and photo cameras observed with delight lasted for more than two hours. They became a hymn of playfulness of "heavenly" horses - glory and pride of Turkmen people.

Today, seven racecourses for various distances took place, tens of racers, which showed he best sports qualities, took part in each of them.

In the first racecourse for 1600 metres racers competed for the prize “Polatly” of the financial and economic complex.

The horse of the Akhal-Teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan Yadygar showed the best result. Its jockey - M.Kichigulov.

In the second racecourse for 600 metres for the prize “Meleguş” of the oil and gas complex the racer Gudratlydag of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took the lead. Its jockey - R.Agamyradov.

In the third racecourse for 1600 metres for the prize “Gelşikli” of the trade complex the first to reach the finish was the horse Dovamat of the Akhal-teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan. Its jockey - G.Begliev.

In the fourth racecourse for 1600 metres for the prize “Ýanardag” of the transport-communications complex, the racer Mekan of "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency became winner. Its jockey - O.Yalkabov.

In the fifth racecourse for 1800 metres, where for the prize “Pereň” of the construction and industrial complex was competed, the first to reach the finish line was the racer Teleke (the Office of Attorney General of Turkmenistan). Its jockey - S.Atajanov.

In the sixth racecourse for 1800 metres for the prize “Garader” of the agro-industrial complex the first place was secured by the horse Yagmyr of the khyakimlik of Ashgabat city. Its jockey - D.Berdimammedov.

The intense contest for the main prize of President Serdar Berdimuhamedova – the prize “Akhan” and challenge cup went on in the final, seventh race course. For the distance of 1600 metres was overcome first by the racer Nowruz of the Akhal-teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan. Its jockey – master -jockey B.Agamyradov.

Between racecourses, musical performances were organised. Spectators could take pleasure in melodies and songs of bards who sang of glorious past and grandiose transformations of the present.

It is necessary to note that Akhal-Teke horses have become famous in the history of world horse breeding and for participation in long distance marches, having shown amazing endurance and firmness. Many of their records cannot be repeated so far.

Then the ceremony of awarding of winners of today's racecourses took place and costly presents, large sums of money and diplomas were presented to winners. Besides it, the leader of the final racecourse received the prize “Akhan” and a challenge cup of the President of Turkmenistan.

Today winners and prize-winners of the competitions in show jumping and long distance races were also announced. The first place in show umping was taken by the horse Toychy of the Federation of Equestrian Sports of Turkmenistan with the jockey - student of 1^st year of Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.Niyazov S.Garajayev. In the marathon, the racer Gayduv of the Akhal-teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan, its jockey - T.Babaev, showed the best result.

Having receiving well-deserved awards and having expressed to the President of Turkmenistan their sincere gratitude for care of development of national horse breeding and jockey sport, jockeys assured that they would use the best efforts for preservation of glorified traditions of horse breeding and further popularisation of the Akhal teke breed.

Upon completion of the awarding ceremony on the square of the complex the celebratory atmosphere still reigned, music sounded, creative groups performed. The kushtdepdi dance was performed with participation of thousands of people who came there to participate in the large-scale festive event in honour of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse to the storm of applause.

Then, having warmly said goodbye to participants of the celebration, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left the place.

Events on the occasion of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse were also held today all over the country. The program included concerts, exhibitions, literary-musical and poetic evenings, celebrations of horse breeders and seyis.

Celebrations and large scale activities for development of the national horse-breeding branch initiated by Hero-Arkadag and nowadays successfully carried out under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan confidently declares itself as a large international centre of horse breeding, which has presented to the world unsurpassed Akhal-Teke horses with unsurpassed beauty and grace.
