President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with the President of PRC Xi Jinping in the ancient city of Xi'an with the participation of members of official delegations of the two countries.

The heads of state discussed issues of developing bilateral cooperation on the platforms of international organizations, as well as expanding partnerships in trade, economic, energy, transport, investment and other areas.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of PRC Xi Jinping also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and global politics of mutual interest. At the talks, the closeness or coincidence of the approaches of the parties to solving urgent problems of our time was noted.

During the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan thanked the Chinese leader for the invitation and expressed confidence in the high effectiveness of bilateral negotiations and the first Summit of the heads of state of the «Central Asia - China» format.

At the end of the high-level talks, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents took place in the presence of the heads of state.
