The 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the capital today with the participation of the heads of the leading ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and a representative delegation headed by the Vice-President of the Republic of Turkey Fuat Oktay, who arrived in our country.
In order to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to domestic consumers in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, and to establish the use of renewable energy sources in the country, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree, having allowed Türkmenenergo State Electric Power Corporation of the Ministry of Energy to conclude with Çalik Enerji Sanaýi we Tijaret A.Ş. company (Republic of Turkey) a contract for the design and construction of a multidisciplinary solar and wind power plant with a capacity of 10 MW in Serdar etrap of Balkan velayat with landscaping of the adjacent territory and with the condition of construction of external supply engineering systems and water supply facilities and drainage with connection to a common network, and also for the purchase of equipment and materials for laying a power transmission line from the Serdar power plant to the above-mentioned facility.
In order to further enhance the culture of passenger service in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, increase the number of airlines, ensure flight safety, as well as successfully solve the tasks for the development of the air transport sector outlined in the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025”, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution, having allowed Türkmenhowaýollary Agency of Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers to conclude with Gündogdy IE a contract for the design and construction of an international airport complex in Jebel village of Balkan velayat, designed to serve 100 passengers per hour, with landscaping of the adjacent territory and with the condition of construction of highways leading to the complex, as well as external supply engineering systems and objects of communication, electricity, gas, water supply and sewerage with their connection to the common network.

Today, the capital has hosted the Sixth Caspian Summit, which was held under the chairmanship of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The luxurious Arkadag Hotel, which provided all conditions for reception of high guests as well as organization of large international events, became the venue for the Ashgabat meeting of heads of the Caspian states.
The sixth summit of the heads of the Caspian states took place in the capital of Turkmenistan. The meeting was attended by the leaders of the Caspian “five” countries - Presidents of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Iran Ebrahim Raisi, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
