At the session of the Government on August 3, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused the attention of Vice-premier Ch. Gylyjov on the necessity of increment of trade turnover.

Increment of various agricultural production volumes and provision of food abundance are the most important priority of social and economic policy of Turkmenistan.

Exhibition of export goods of the Turkish Republic will be held in the building of the Trade and Industrial Chamber on December 15 – 17. The main objective of this event is to intensify beneficial Turkmen – Turkish trade and economic cooperation as well as to demonstrate the export potential and industrial capacities of the companies from different regions of this country.

Establishment of ramified transport infrastructure as important factor of economic and social development of Turkmenistan is one of priority directions of the state policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Large-scale projects initiated by the Head of the State have been successfully implemented in this sphere. It includes the modernization of existing and construction of new automobile and railway roads, fundamental renewal and expansion of the equipment and facilities base of civil aviation and fleet.

The volume of trade turnover is the main indicator of the development of economy of the country in general. Owing to the increment of production of local consumer goods, creation of new import substitutive production and to other integrated measures taken under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the input of trade sector to the GDP of Turkmenistan is growing.
