President of Turkmenistan made a working visit to Ahal welayat, marking the key aspects of the development of the region.

During his working visit to Ahal Velayat President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the construction site of the plant for production of gasoline from natural gas in Ovadandepe.

On behalf of the people and the Government as well as personally, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations to Alexander Van Der Bellen due to assumption of the position of the Federal President of Republic of Austria.

Chairmanship of Turkmenistan at the Energy Charter Conference in 2017 will contribute to the development of effective long-term models for international cooperation in the energy sector, based on a balance of interests of all parties involved, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at today's Cabinet meeting.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which, after hearing the reports of members of the government and plans for upcoming industry events, has formulated a number of pressing challenges.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, while on a working trip to Dashoguz velayat, became acquainted with the situation at one of the wheat field in J. Hudaibergenov daikhan association, S. A. Niyazov etrap. Twenty-seven farmers work in the field with a total area of 62.1 hectares. Last year, they produced about 220 tons of “ak bugdai” wheat. Efforts are currently being made to handle young winter wheat crops.

A meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission for Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation is taking place in Ashgabat. Among those attending the meeting are senior officials and leading specialists of sectoral agencies, representatives of the two countries’ business communities. The meeting focuses on the issues of bilateral relations.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received First Vice-Premier of the Republic of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov, who arrived to Turkmenistan as a head of representative delegation for participation in regular session of Turkmen – Uzbek Commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

The President of Turkmenistan has held a meeting involving a number of Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of institutions and governor of Dashoguz welayat, dedicated to the socio-economic development of the northern region of the country, at the airport in Dashoguz.

The 13th session of Turkmen – Uzbek Joint Commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation was held in Ashgabat. Representative delegation led by the First Deputy of Prime-Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Ramatov arrived to Turkmen capital for participation.
