President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko took part in the opening of the new building of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Ashgabat.

After the top level talks between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Belarus had concluded, the ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held.

During the Turkmen-Belarussian talks held in Ashgabat in expanded format, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the positive dynamics of the trade turnover between the two countries in 2016, which increased by 4.4 % as compare to 2015. The President of Turkmenistan underlined that Belarus was one of old and reliable partners of Turkmenistan in the trade and economic sphere.
