At the session of the Central Commission for conduct of election and referenda of Turkmenistan, there were resumed the final results of the Mejlis deputies’ elections in some constituencies, held on May 21, as well as Halk Maslahaty and Gengeshi members in connection with changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the regions. The meeting was attended by members of the Central Election Commission, representatives of the working groups, established at the Central Election Commission, national observers, and mass media.

Today, a pontoon bridge across the Amu Darya that connected Khalach (Daihan Association ""Pehlwert"" ) and Khojambaz (Daihan Association ""Mekan"") etraps was commissioned in the Lebap velayat.

The XVI International Universal Exhibition ""White City - Ashgabat"", organized by the Ashgabat Hakimlik and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country, has opened in the capital of Turkmenistan. This year, more than 100 domestic and foreign companies and enterprises presented their products here.

The Mukam Palace of the capital hosted public forum with participation of the Chairperson of the Mejlis, responsible personnel of law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, mass media, non-governmental organizations, political parties, lecturers of universities, students and public representatives from the velayats.

Ashgabat hosted two-day seminar “Topical Aspects of the Improvement of the Legislation in Mass Media” organized by the OSCE Centre.

In total, two deputies of the Mejlis, 41 members of the Halk Maslahaty and 134 members of the Gengeshes are to be elected for Turkmenistan. In this regard, 177 districts and 255 polling stations operate.
