The holiday, which promotes the idea of peaceful coexistence, goodwill, humanism and calls on peoples to maintain friendly and fraternal relations, marks the special date in the national calendar. On this day, by the well-established noble tradition, people all over the country pay tribute to the memory of brave heroes who lost their lives on the battlefields of the deadliest war of the 20th century, and honor war veterans with special warmth.

The Turkmen leader demonstrates with his personal example the important role of sport in human life, showing a striking performance, organization and purposefulness.
