President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan Jong Tae Ihn who accomplishes his diplomatic mission in our country. Greeting the Head of the State, the diplomat expressed sincere gratitude for the attention to the development of friendly Turkmen – Korean relations as well as for the support of the activity of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, which was always felt in his work. Jong Tae Ihn highlighted that his country attaches great importance to the consolidation of fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan that pursues open door and wide beneficial partnership policy meeting the interests of universal peace and prosperity. Having stated with delight high level of interstate dialog that successfully developed in multilateral format as well under competent international organizations and structures, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted steadfast dynamics of Turkmen – Korean collaboration built on equal and long-term basis and aimed for specific results. Continuing the meeting, the Head of Turkmenistan and Korean diplomat exchanged the views on the perspectives of bilateral cooperation that has considerable potential ain various directions including in trade and economic sphere, energy and transport sectors, in advanced technologies and other branches. In this regard, the important role of Interstate Turkmen – Korean Committee and joint business forums in the improvement of establishment of close business contacts was noted. Active participation of world-known Korean companies in implementation of large infrastructural projects of international significance in our country was brought as visual example. It was also highlighted that cooperation in humanitarian sphere, where positive experience of joint work and good capabilities for the intensification of traditional contacts in education, science and culture as well as in tourism and sports are present, is important component of interstate relations. Having expressed the gratitude to the diplomat for his considerable input to the consolidation of Turkmen – Korean interstate dialog, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished him success in his future work. Having expressed the gratitude of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for high appreciation of his work, the Ambassador highlighted that it was great honour for him to represent the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan.
