Work of the State Commission on Ensuring Food Security has been discussed at the session of the Government of Turkmenistan. As reported by Vice Premier, O.Gurbannazarov, in charge of trade and business, targeted works are conducted to secure food abundance and saturate the domestic market. Noting the importance of increasing the volumes of domestic production and import substitution for popular products, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave several specific instructions to the Vice Premier. The Turkmen leader also stressed that socio-economic transformations ongoing in the country and forming of market relations, including those in food production, wholesale and retail trade, make higher demands for quality of food products and their safety.
