President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. Having warmly greeted each other, the leaders of two countries shared the congratulations on New Year 2018 and best wishes as well as discussed the priority issues of Turkmen – Qatari relations. Having stated with delight high level of interstate dialog, the Heads of Turkmenistan and Qatar mentioned the presence of considerable potential for further development of beneficial cooperation. The Emir of Qatar and President of Turkmenistan reviewed the realization of previous agreements and future plans. Having highlighted that important role in the partnership is given to trade and economic relations, the leaders of two countries noted the importance of traditional humanitarian and cultural contacts, having spoken for their activation. During the conversation, the sides shared the opinions on number of actual issues of regional and global agenda that present mutual interest. In this regard, invariable commitment of both states to agreed cooperation under competent international organizations has been noted. In the end of the conversation, having expressed the confidence that constructive interstate dialog built on the best traditions of friendship and resting upon good will of the sides will be consolidated in the future.
