President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Having cordially greeted each other, the Heads of two states shared New Year 2018 congratulations, having wished each other strong health and success in their responsible activities, all new beginnings and joint work for the sake of Turkmen and Uzbek people. The Presidents also discussed actual directions of bilateral relations, which are based on unbreakable ties of friendship, good neighbourliness and equal beneficial cooperation. The Leaders of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan highlighted high level of interstate dialog, its mutually respectful and constructive character, having expressed the confidence that realization of the agreements achieved earlier would give new impulse to traditional partnership that has considerable potential. Having spoken for further intensification of efficient cooperation in trade and economic sphere, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev alos noted the importance of the stimulation of fruitful humanitarian and cultural contacts, which are integral part of interstate relations. During the conversation, the sides also exchanged the opinions on number of topical issues of regional and international politics that presents mutual interest. At the same time, the similarity of approaches of both countries to all reviewed issues has been noted. In this regard, invariable commitment of two states to coordinated cooperation and mutual support under competent international organizations including the UN, CIS and other has been highlighted. In the end of the conversation, having expressed the confidence that fruitful interstate dialog built in the best traditions of friendship and resting on common spiritual and historical heritage, centuries-old cultural relations of two nations would continue to be developed, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev again congratulated each other on New Year and addressed fraternal people of both countries with the wishes of further prosperity and success.
