Extraordinary III Assembly of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan where priority objectives of this political organization under the realization of large-scale state social and economic programmes were discussed was held in the capital. More than 500 delegates from all over the country as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations, ministries and departments, mass media and cultural personnel took part in the forum. Speaking at the assembly, the delegates expressed the gratitude to Turkmen leader for systematic care of comprehensive development of rural areas. It was highlighted that the increment of the volumes of various agricultural production, provision of food abundance in the country are important priority of the policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which is aimed at the consolidation of economic power of Turkmenistan and improvement of the people’s wealth. Great success has been achieved in this sphere owing to integrated reforms in agricultural sector aimed at maximum realization of huge potential of the branch. Activists of the Agrarian Party made special mention of the importance of the Government support, which is expressed in large investments used for technical rearmament and modernization of production infrastructure of agricultural complex. Modern machineries, harvesters and other equipment from the leading world manufacturers are purchased for the needs of agricultural complex. Specific measures are taken in this sphere for the improvement of water supply, soil reclamation of agricultural fields and land fertility, development of new virgin areas, implementation of advanced technologies, development of seed selection and pedigree livestock. Utmost attention is paid to the diversification of agricultural production, establishment of modern agrarian industrial facilities processing and making wide variety of high quality production. Large investment projects fundamentally changing the life of Turkmen rural areas are implemented under the State Programme of import substitutive production and increase of export volumes of the goods made in the country, National Programme of improvement of social and living conditions of the population of villages, settlements, etraps and etrap centres until 2020. New settlements that were built in different parts of the country are visual evidence of successful realization of creative policy of the Head of the State, which main priority is the comprehensive care of the wealth of people, every family and citizen. Agrarian Party representing the interest of rural residents actively participates in this large-scale and versatile work. The delegates highlighted that the Party activists have to make maximum contribution to the realization of the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2018 – 2024. Today, the Agrarian Party is seeking for attraction of successful agricultural specialists into its ranks who are non-indifferent to the destiny of rural places and knowing how hard is the work in the field or pastry, efficient management of agricultural facility or implementation of advanced technologies to this sphere. In this regard, it was noted that the activists of this new political movement as well as the delegates of current assembly would make deserving input to the solution of topical issues. Foundation of the Agrarian Party in September 2014 was possible owing to democratization of Turkmen society under the formation of efficient multi-party social and political system. As is known, the beginning of this process was put in the beginning of 2012 after the adoption of the Law of Turkmenistan on Political Parties by the Mejlis of the country. Already in August 2012, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was instituted. New parties together with the veteran of political life of the country – the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, are influential social power making its contribution to rapid development of the economy and social sphere. Organizational issues were also reviewed at the Assembly. B. Annagurbanov who previously worked as the Head of Mary Velayat Party Committee was elected the Chairman of the Central Council of the Agrarian Party.
