Upon arrival from Herat to Mary Velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, government officials, the heads of military and law-enforcement agencies, the Mary Velayat Khyakim to discuss the issues on the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline, the electricity transmission lines and fibre-optic lines along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route. The reports on the key aspects of the implementation of the launched international projects as well as the executive programme were presented during the meeting. In this regard, the information on the existing opportunities for the further development of the projects on TAPI gas pipeline, the electricity transmission lines and fibre-optic lines along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route was presented. According to the President of Turkmenistan, the implementation of the projects, mentioned above, opens up wide opportunities for the development of economies of the countries, participants of the projects, as well as will contribute to strengthening and enhancing the international cooperation. The wide support of Turkmenistan's constructive initiatives and the interest of the countries in the region in implementing these projects vividly proves the country's growing authority on the world arena. The works on these projects, as well as the commissioning of the Serhetabat-Turgundi railway line testify to the success of the creative initiatives of our neutral state in the region. Focusing on the importance of the tasks set in this regard, the Turkmen leader gave a number of instructions on how to organize the coordinated work of the relevant structures in their timely and effective solution. Underlining the necessity to take consistent comprehensive measures to build up the capacity of the national economy, to carry out all planned work on these projects, which are of great importance for improving the standards of living of the population, and for further strengthening the international authority of Turkmenistan, the President wished the meeting participants every success in their work and left the venue.
