National team confidently started in qualification tournament if the third division of the Ice Hockey World Championship. The teams for UAE, Kuwait and the host of the competitions Bosnia and Herzegovina are in our group. Hockey players from UAE contested our team in the first match. National team have started active game from the first minutes. However, it was only the second period when the throw of Ishan Veliyev has reached the target. The third period of the match was the most interesting. Turkmenistan team made three goals. Amangedly Aganiyazov, Dovlet Soyunov and Arslan Geldimyradov were among the scorers. The match with UAE ended by the win of our team with 4:0 score. In the match with Kuwait team, the fosters of Head Coach of Turkmenistan Bayram Allayariv blitzed the opposition with 24:2 score. Captain of our team Ahmet Gurbanov was the best by goal + pass, having scored four goals and made the same number of resultative passes. Ishan Veleyev, Alexander Vakhovsky, Arslan Geldimyradov, Dovlet Soyunov and Nikita Avdeyev scored three goals each. Dovlet hydyrov, Pavel Barkovsky, Dmitry Savin, Meylis Kuliyev and Yakut Berdiyev also scored one goal each. Thus, having scored 6 points before the last match, Turkmenistan team is leading in the group ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina team, which also won Kuwait (8:1) and UAE (6:1), by the difference of scored and missed goals.
