In the framework of the official visit to the United Arab Emirates, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and UAE Deputy Prime Minister exchanged the views on a wide spectrum of issues on the Turkmenistan-UAE partnership and specified the ways to ensure the efficient cooperation in various spheres. The meeting participants emphasized the constructive character of the traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates that are systematically brought up to the new higher level based on the principles of mutual respect and support. Our countries have similar or concurring opinions on the issues of the international politics and regional relations, including in particular the guarantee of peace and security on the planet, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. There is a huge potential for the mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation. Moreover, the efficient use of the existing opportunities is important both for the national and regional interests, and for the global economy in general. In this regard, the parties expressed the mutual interest in building up the fruitful partnership on the long-term and equal basis. Touching upon the recent launch of the construction of the next stage of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the UAE leading oil and gas companies, financial and investment structures to take part in the implementation of this regional project. In order to increase the trade turnover volumes and strengthen the economic ties, it was underlined the importance to hold bilateral consultations, business forums, and thematic exhibitions on the regular basis. The significance of further strengthening the humanitarian ties between our countries, expanding cooperation in such areas as science and education, culture and arts was underlined. In conclusion of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again thanked Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the great attention to the development and enhancement of the efficient relations and wished happiness, prosperity, peace and wellbeing to the people of the United Arab Emirates.
