President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received congratulations from the leaders of the country on National Spring Holiday – International Nowruz Day. Congratulating the Head of the State on spring holiday that is highly honoured by Turkmen people, the Head of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat wished the President success, strong health, prosperity and successful implementation of all large-scale intents. Having expressed the gratitude for the congratulations and good wishes, the President of Turkmenistan noted the uniqueness of this ancient holiday that preserved its vital meaning until our days. The Head of the State highlighted that Turkmen people highly honours its culture and rich history what is indicated by numerous events held in our country under slogan “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road”. Celebration of Nowruz Bayramy occupies special place in the rank of beautiful national traditions and customs observed throughout many centuries. Announcement of international status of Nowruz is another evidence of the importance of this holiday. Nowruz is serves to the solidarity of the nations, their spiritual perfectness and popularization of historical and cultural traditions, improvement of friendly relations. People visit each other, make presents, share sincere wishes of happiness peace and health on the day of vernal equinox. Therefore, this holiday brings people closer, making them to be more sympathetic, kinder and wiser, the President noted.
