During the session of the Government on March 24, Vice-premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov informed on the preparation of the official visit of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hasan Rouhani to Turkmenistan on March 27 – 28. The agenda of bilateral high-level talks will include wide spectrum of subjects of Turkmen – Iranian partnership in priority directions. Number of important documents are planned to be signed by the outcomes of the negotiations. In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated with delight dynamic character of interstate dialog, which is based on centuries-old traditions of friendship and historical and cultural relations as well as on mutual goodwill of the sides. Turkmen leader noted that our countries demonstrate the intent to the consolidation of productive cooperation meeting not only mutual interests but also the objective of wealth and prosperity in the region. This is indicated by number of successful joint projects such as the construction of transnational railroad Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan - Iran, which is to be an important link of regional and global transit and transport infrastructure. Speaking of the presence of big potential for efficient bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and transport spheres as well as in other perspective branches and for intensification of contacts in humanitarian filed, the Head of the State highlighted the importance of Turkmen – Iranian high-level talks, having given relative assignments for organization of the official visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to our country to the Vice-premier.
