Voting continues at elections of members of the Sixth Convocation of the National Parliament of Turkmenistan, people’s councils and local councils. According to the Central Election Commission, as of 17:00, 86.34 percent of the eligible electorate cast their vote at the election of members of the National Parliament; 86.87 percent voted at the election of members of provincial, district and municipal people’s councils; and 86.23 percent attended the election of members of local councils. Current elections generated interest in many countries of the world. This is evidenced by the massive influx of visitors on the website of the Central Election Commission. The elections are monitored locally by international and national observers.
