Zonal Asian Volleyball Championship in Dhaka (the People’s Republic of Bangladesh) finished in triumph for Turkmenistan team. The collection of sport achievements of our country was supplemented with another gold medal. Turkmen players met the hosts of the tournament in the final. The first set was not successful for our team, however trying to win, Turkmen team first equalize the game in stubborn competition and after completely defeat the opponents – the representatives of Bangladesh. Our volleyball players was leading in three further sets and became the gold winners of the tournament. Leader of Turkmen team Didar Nueiyev received the title of the best player of the championship. Our compatriots Dovrangeldy Amandurdiyev won in libero nomination while Arslanbek Iskanderov was the best quarterback.
