Certificate and prize award ceremony to new Turkmenbashi port by the experts of different organizations took place at international transport forum held in Avaza. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received special awards as initiator of the project of Turkmenbashy International Seaport. By conferring of these awards, the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC) and Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) expressed the support of integrational transport projects of Turkmenistan that enhances the convergence of the East and the West through the revival of the Silk Road. New seaport was also awarded with the prize of international consulting company «PricewaterhouseCoopers» and German logistic and transport company «Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG» and with the certificate of Zealand Seaports company operating container terminal in Hamburg port and Dutch ports. The port was also entered to the Guinness World Record Book as the biggest port below the sea level. Artificial bird island built during port construction for preservation of ornithological fauna was also included to the same category as the biggest manmade island below the seal level. The awards for contribution to environmental and birds protection during construction of Turkmenbashi Seaport were presented from Max Plank Ornithology Institute (Germany) and Vienna University. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the gratitude to the management of international organizations for warm words addressed to Turkmenistan. The Head of the State noted that our country highly appreciates the willingness of competent structures to cooperation as well as substantial and positive approach to important and topical subjects of the forum agenda. The Head of the State expressed the confidence that the fact of gathering of current International forum and the interest demonstrated by politicians, specialists, experts and media speak of the importance that the idea of the revival of the Silk Road receive in modern conditions. In this aspects, the perspectives are opening not only in trade, economy, investments but also in politics, culture, humanitarian relations, in consolidation of friendship and cooperation between the countries and nations. Current meeting is to support these processes and to become one of the grounds where exchange of opinions take place, new constructive models of cooperation are elaborated and valuable professional relations are established, Turkmen leader noted. This is very important for further practical work.
