President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the Governing Council of Calik Holding group of companies, Ahmet Calik. The Turkish businessman expressed to the Turkmen leader his congratulations on the opening of the International seaport. He stressed that today Turkmenistan receives great interest and acclaim across the world due to impressive achievements in the socio-economic development of the country. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan is open for long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation with all foreign companies that proved to be reliable and responsible partners. Comprehensive modernization and diversification of the national economy that relies on attracting the best global practices and advanced technology implies building a number of various new facilities that must meet high international standards in every respect, said the head of state. The Turkish businessman confirmed his company’s interest in scaling up partnership with our country in different fields, promoting innovative technology. In this regard, it is no exaggeration to say that the Turkmenbashi International seaport project is of historic significance as its implementation takes the relations between our countries to a new stage of cooperation, promoting their full-fledged integration into the international system of economic ties and raising Turkmenistan’s profile as an important transit hub. Stressing the tremendous importance of the country’s new sea gates, the head of state thanked Turkish specialists and businessmen for their contribution to implementing mutually beneficial joint projects that will play a major role in developing multilateral international cooperation.
