President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Board of the “Uzbekiston Temir Yullary” JSC Achilbay Ramatov, who took part in the events on the occasion of putting the International Seaport in Turkmenbashi into operation. On behalf of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the guest congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the successful implementation of the ambitious project. It was underlined that Uzbekistan supported the large regional and international projects initiated by the Turkmen leader with the aim to unite the transport systems of Asia and Europe, the Middle East. Addressing the best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that widening the fruitful dialogue with the neighboring states, including Uzbekistan ranked among the priority areas of the foreign-policy course of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan had all necessary opportunities for increasing the bilateral trade, investments and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the various sectors of economy. In this regard it was underlined the importance of the International Seaport in Turkmenbashi. The guest emphasized that this historical event would become an important stage in strengthening the good-neighborly relations, the peaceful development, the mutually beneficial and equal cooperation in the region. In conclusion of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov expressed belief in the further successful development of relations between the two states.
