On behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, and on his own behalf, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov extended congratulations to Mahathir Mohamad on the occasion of assuming office as Prime Minister of Malaysia. I firmly believe that friendly and mutually beneficial relations between our countries based on the principles of reciprocal respect, understanding and trust will continue to develop to meet the interests of the two peoples, stated the Turkmen leader in his letter. The President of Turkmenistan took the opportunity to express to Mahathir Mohamad his wished for good health, personal happiness and well-being, as well as for peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Malaysia.
