Following the Resolution of the UN General Assembly on declaring June 3 as the World Bicycle Day, as well as with the aim to popularize physical culture and sports, to secure the principles of the healthy life style in the society, to attract the younger generation to practicing sports, to increase the international sports authority of Turkmenistan and further promote cycling in the country, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree, authorizing: 1. To celebrate the World Bicycle Day annually on June 3; 2. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan to ensure the high organization level of the World Bicycle Day celebrations; 3. Ministries, departments, velayat and Ashgabat Khyakimliks to provide assistance in organizing the World Bicycle Day celebrations at the high level; 4. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Justice to draft the proposals on the amendments and additions to the legislation based on this Decree and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers.
