Ashgabat is to host the Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan on November 14-15

Turkmenistan is preparing for the 7th Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA VII) to be held on November 14-15 this year in Ashgabat. In order to successfully solve the organizational and other issues, a special coordinating commission has been established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. It is expected that the forum, as part of which the holding of a number of additional events are planned, will be represented by delegations from 35 countries of the world and 36 international organizations, including the specialized UN agencies. During the two-day meeting there will be a discussion and exchange of views on the issues related to the implementation of energy, transport and communications projects which are carried out with the participation of Afghanistan, as well as trade, private sector development and establishing business cooperation.
