“I congratulate you on the opening of the 22nd International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2017”. I firmly believe that the forum will open up wide opportunities for discussing the important issues of the oil and gas sphere and widening cooperation”, says the President of Turkmenistan in his address. Turkmenistan with its favourable geopolitical location has set itself the task to use this advantage to ensure the national interests as well as the interests of the peoples in the region and all around the world. Our country occupies the world leading positions on hydrocarbon reserves. The large-scale work on the production, processing, stable and reliable supply of these resources to consumers has been done within the last years. The ambitious projects on the development of the giant, unique in its reserves gas deposit - Galkynysh, the construction of new gas processing plants and production of goods that are of great demand on the world markets, have been implemented in the country. The important goal today is to apply modern environmentally-friendly technologies of processing 'blue fuel' and this task has been successfully approached in our country. The significant work has been done to diversify the supply routes of Turkmen gas to the world markets that is vividly testified by the implementation of the project on the construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas pipeline. I am confident in the exclusive importance of this project for the neighbouring countries and other states of the region in economic terms. Moreover, I would like to emphasize that the ambitious works have been launched in the country to develop the Galkynysh gas deposit, which will supply natural gas to the TAPI pipeline. The most-favoured-nations regime was established and observed in our country to attract investments in such projects. Possessing huge gas deposits, Turkmenistan pays the great attention not only to the gas export supplies through pipelines but to the advanced gas processing as well. Our country has implemented the efficient measures to manufacture high-quality competitive products from hydrocarbon resources. The main goal of the 2017 International Conference and Exhibition is to demonstrate the achievements of the national oil and gas industry to the world community, evaluate the reached goals, present innovative technologies, share experience and promote the international cooperation. Such events are of particular significance for the exploring, developing and supplying energy resources to consumers. The forum will provide an informative platform in this aspect. The International conference and exhibition are to develop the new formats of cooperation that promote the active integration of the national economy in the world economic system.
