President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where topical issues of social and economic development of the country and foreign policy of the State have been reviewed.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Azar Abul Hasan Khan, who presented his credentials to the head of state.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of big complex of social facilities built under another stage of construction of Taze Zaman living estate.

Representatives of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the “Coca-cola” company – the traditional sponsor of the largest competitions of this sport, arrived by a special flight at the Capital International Airport. As part of the world tour, held ahead of the 2018 World Cup, for the first time guests brought to Turkmenistan.one of the main football trophies of the planet – the FIFA World Cup.

In Ashgabat, the ceremonial opening of the Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held. The event was organized by the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Iran in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of our country.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent warm greetings and best wishes to Nicos Anastasiades on his re-election as President of the Republic of Cyprus.

A striking event in cultural life of the capital was the opening of the exhibition “Caravaggio in Turkmenistan”, organized under the auspices of the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as the Italian Embassy in our country.

At the extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 26 dedicated to the outcomes of 2017, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that during the realization of the objectives on diversification of fuel and energy complex, the utmost attention should be paid the consolidation of Turkmenistan positions in the world’s energy markets, to the satisfaction of growing internal requirements on energy carriers, to the increment of the production volumes received from oil and gas processing. Construction of TAPI and other gas pipelines has to be under special control.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference session with the participation of the hyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city. Priority objectives of social and economic development of the capital and regions, situation in agricultural complex as well as preparation to coming remarkable dates have been reviewed during the session.
