The UN is a traditional partner of the Government of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis and the Office of the Ombudsperson in the field of human rights. The most important area of this partnership is the joint work with UNICEF in the priority areas of protecting the rights of the child. On the International Day for Protection of Children, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Turkmenistan and the UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan speak about the results of the consolidation of efforts, as well as tasks and prospects of cooperation in this area.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Order, which assign to award title of Honoured carpet maker of Turkmenistan to the best personnel of carpet industry of the country taking into account honest work and professional skills or big merits in development of national carpet art and popularization of Turkmen carpets.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed congratulation on occasion of Turkmen Carpet Day, which is traditionally observed on last Sunday of May in the country, to carpet industry personnel, participants of fair exhibition dedicated to development of carpet, textile and trade industry of Turkmenistan and XX Conference of the World Turkmen Carpet Connoisseur Association.

Online format meeting with the Head of the Secretariat of Parliamentary Leagues of Japanese – Turkmen Friendship, Department Director of Liberal and Democratic Party of Japan Matsishita Shinpei was held in the Mejlis.

The Foreign Ministry had video conference meeting with Governor of Astrakhan Region, Russian Federation Igor Babushkin, during which special importance paid by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to comprehensive strengthening of constructive relations with Russian Federation and its regions including Astrakhan Region has been highlighted.

For execution of the Law of Turkmenistan on Licensing of certain activities, further improvement of licensing procedure, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having approved the list of licensing authorities on certain activities subject to licensing as well as amounts the state fee paid for license.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Protection, relative profile departments and administrations of the velayats to provide high production of potato, vegetable and other agricultural crops.
