For informational promotion of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in September of this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan together with other government organizations developed Action Plan aimed at broad familiarization of the world community with the present of our country, its achievements and successes as well as 2017 Asian Games.

On December 29, the head of state took part in the New Year’s event which was organized in the building of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. There, the President of Turkmenistan was welcomed by the Chairperson of th National Parliament, Government members, Leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov had chaired joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and National Security Council. The meeting had been attended also by governors of provinces.

On December 26, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a joint pre-New Year session of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council with the participation of velayat khaykims.

The Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has approved the Activity Plan on Turkmenistan’s chairmanship in the Energy Charter Conference for 2017. The Plan provides for variety of activities, to be held in Turkmenistan and abroad.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had expressed deep condolences to the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel in connection with an tragedy in Berlin, led numerous victims and injuries.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has sent a message of sincere condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the tragic death of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Turkey induced by the armed attack.

By the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva received the copies of credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Turkmenistan Majibur Rahman Bhuyan.
