Having announced the agenda of the session, the Head of the State gave floor to Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva who reported on the activity of the Parliament for improvement of legislation base as well as on the meeting of the women Speakers of Parliament, which was held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi on December 13-14.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Turkmenistan Thorhilda Mary Vivia Abbott-Watt who presented the copies of her credentials.

In his message, the Head of the State, having highly appreciated friendly relations between the countries, expressed the confidence in further improvement and consolidation of Turkmen – Italian dialog for the interests of both peoples.

On the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdiyeva received the credentials of the Head of European Union delegations to Turkmenistan Cristian Berger as and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

By the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva received the copies of the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Turkmenistan Adrian McDade.

Having congratulating on the 21st anniversary of the adoption of the status of permanently neutral state to Turkmenistan by the United Nations General Assembly, the Head of the Mejlis and Deputy Chairpersons of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies wished strong health, happiness, longevity and grandiose successes to the Head of the State on the way of large-scale transformation programmes of combined development initiated by him.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his deepest condolences to President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan for multiple deaths and injuries in the terrorist attack in Istanbul.

On December 10, the assembly-hall of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted an international scientific-practical conference - “Neutrality of Turkmenistan and international practice: new advances of cooperation for the sake of sustainable development”.

On December 9, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened an enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers to draw together conclusions from the 11-month work of the government and sectoral industries, analyze the implementation progress of the national socio-economic programs, discuss the important issues of state life, and outline the concrete tasks for the immediate future.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov send deep condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mamnum Hussein and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Navaz Sharif on occasion of crash of the aircraft of Pakistan International Airlines led to the numerous victims of the citizens of the country.
